Bamboo flooring is quickly becoming very popular and proving itself to be a first-class modern alternative to wood.  Madeira Classica is at the forefront of introducing and delivering this innovative product to Cape Town and the rest of South Africa. Bamboo floors have numerous qualities that make it an excellent substitute for a hardwood floors.

Bamboo matures within 5 years and is a sustainable resource compared to trees that take 15 years + to mature. Zhulin bamboo floors come from controlled forests and are an environmentally friendly alternative to wood.

Bamboo is very durable and 50% harder than oak.  Our bamboo comes in two colors, natural/blond and carbonized/caramel. The natural color of bamboo is a yellowish blond and when steamed (carbonized) it becomes a deep caramel color.

Our floors are pre-finished with 3 coats of UV cured urethane varnish. This is very durable and is available in both gloss and matt finishes.

Different installations methods can be used for bamboo flooring. These include glue down, floating and nail down.
